Helping to restore single mothers and their children back to God's good intent for their lives...
Welcome The Restoration House

At The Restoration House (TRH), we are working to help restore single mothers and their children back to God’s good intent for their lives. Through transformational housing, team mentoring and family advocacy, TRH is helping single mother families end cycles of poverty and distress. In turn, TRH's Participating Families are empowered to build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

At TRH we believe that God did not create us to be alone. TRH surrounds the whole family, providing them with networks of support and accountability so instead of feeling isolated and powerless, each family experiences an empowering sense of community while also reaping the benefits of a network of support.

Rebekah & Averie

Rebekah

Rebekah :: & Averie

Rebekah, at nineteen, came to TRH with her one week old daughter. She was scared, shy, and nervous most of the time. But in the next two years she blossomed into an amazing young woman and wonderful mother. Averie is now three years old and is a beautiful little girl. Since graduating from TRH, she served for two years on our board of directors and has given back in a variety of ways. Rebekah is an active member of her church and is always willing to lend a hand. Her and Averie's future never looked so bright, and we can't wait to see all that God has in store for them.

Cortny & Braxton

Cortny

Cortny :: & Braxton

A friend introduced Cortny to The Restoration House where she and Braxton have now been living for the past six months. Cortny has grown to be a tremendous mother. She is working and going to school full-time to make a better future for herself and Braxton. At the same time she is saving money toward buying her first home using her Smart Savings (matched savings account) through TRH. She is a woman of God and is deeply motivated. Cortny and Braxton’s future is looking better than ever!

Missy & Glynda, Nic

Missy

Missy :: & Glynda, Nic

Missy is an amazing sister and quite a mother. Glynda and Nic are her siblings and she has dedicated her life to raising them. Over the eighteen months they were in The Restoration House we saw a tremendous woman emerge as Missy dealt with the role of sister and mother. The kids' grades have imporved, Missy graduated from school, and now she has a full-time job and her own market rent apartment. She has sacrificed so much for these children and it is a blessing to have been able to journey with them. We are anxious to see how God continues to restore their family.

Mary :: & Malik, Antoine, DiAnte, Tia, Lu Lu

This young mom of five has always worked hard with little pay off and was coming to the point of losing her faith as she and her kids were living in their Suburban. Since coming into TRH this family is now in their own three-bedroom apartment and has a new van so they can all travel together. The kids' grades have improved, they all have mentors, and Mary has completed two national certifications in the health field and is working on her third. It's amazing all that a family can accomplish with the right kind of support.

Partners Working Together

At The Restoration House (TRH), we are not trying to do it all. The truth is our single mother families are so much better off because of the partners we have in the community. It helps us focus on the gaps while maximizing the opportunity for our families through the collaboration with others.
