One of the objectives of The Restoration House (TRH) is to move single mothers and their children into permanent housing within 18 to 24 months of entering TRH.  It is crucial for TRH to partner with those organizations who are already proven in the area of homeownership for low-income families.  We are incredibly excited that Knoxville's Habitat for Humanity is partnering with The Restoration House to provide the single mother families we work with permanant homes through their proven 'sweat' equity, no interest, no downpayment homeownership model.  For those families who qualify they will begin working with Habitat as they start with The Restoration House.  This will make for a smooth transition into homeownership after 18 to 24 months.  We look forward to the day when a single mother family from TRH moves into a Habitat house for the first time.
